Basic Interior Lighting Course

Start Simple! In this lesson we will illuminate a small warehouse 160x120x18 (dimensions in feet).

Room reflectances are: 70/50/20 (ceiling, walls, floor).

Illuminance requirements are 25 fc initial on a 2.5’ work plane.

 

We will work through the following steps:

1. Define the Luminaire

2. Use Room Estimator to determine luminaire layout

3. Export Room Estimator Results to Model Mode
4. Calculate using the Direct Only Method (discuss)
5. Calculate using the Full Radiosity Method (discuss)
6. Advance to Render Mode
7. Refine with Adaptive Subdivision (discuss)
8. Enable Isolines
9. Label Luminaires
10. Define Viewpoints in Model Mode
11. Define Viewpoints in Render Mode
12. Create an Automated Report
